# Leeds United: Many fans demand that Marcelo Bielsa starts Eddie Nketiah ahead of Patrick Bamford

**Marcelo Bielsa has given his press conference ahead of Leeds United’s match against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.**

While there were various topics that ‘El Loco’ spoke about, there was one main thing that many Leeds fans were interested in hearing about:

That question was whether Bielsa would be starting Patrick Bamford or Eddie Nketiah for the Yorkshire derby, with the hope being that the Argentinian would pick the latter.

20-year-old Nketiah has not started a single Championship game this season, making nine substitute appearances, but has still managed to score three goals from his 220 minutes on the pitch, as per [**WhoScored**](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/345845/Show/Eddie-Nketiah), while he has also got two goals in as many Carabao Cup starts.

In comparison, Bamford has started [**13 Championship games**](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/109670/Show/Patrick-Bamford), playing a total of 998 minutes, from which he has got four goals and one assist.

A selection of Twitter reaction to the press conference, including posts from decisive Leeds fans, can be seen below:
