Leeds United are one of a number of clubs who are 'keeping tabs' on Senegal attacker Boulaye Dia, according to an update from journalist Ben Jacobs.

The 26-year-old is part of Senegal's squad at the 2022 World Cup currently and he enjoyed a major influence in the tournament on Friday afternoon.

Dia started in attack for his country's crucial game against hosts Qatar, and he opened the scoring to send them on their way to a 3-1 victory.

It enhances Senegal's hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages, and it looks as though Dia is a wanted man, following a fresh transfer update.

The Verdict: Exciting attacking target

Leeds' attack could certainly do with being freshened up during the next few transfer windows, with Patrick Bamford struggling to score goals.

Dia is someone who could bring new energy in the final third, and while his World Cup exploits may make more headlines, he is also performing at club level, scoring six goals in 14 games on loan at Salernitana.

There is clear competition for his signature, but if Jesse Marsch can sell the idea of the Whites to him, he is someone who should make them more potent in the final third moving forward, being renowned for his dribbling and aerial ability.
