Leeds United are 'having a look' at Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The Lowdown: Forward needed

The Whites appear to be on the hunt for the perfect forward to bolster Jesse Marsch’s attacking ranks before the transfer deadline after missing out on Charles De Ketelaere.

The need for a new attacker was highlighted last weekend, with injury issues for both Patrick Bamford and Joe Gelhardt.

Pulisic, who is nicknamed 'Captain America', appears to be a player of interest to Elland Road chiefs and could face off against the Whites this weekend.

The Latest: Jones’ comments

Jones was talking to GiveMeSport about Pulisic and his Chelsea teammate Callum Hudson-Odoi, saying that Newcastle are keen on the pair before adding that Leeds are also ‘having a look’.

The reporter stated:

“Newcastle are very much in the market for those two players, but I know Leeds have been having a look, too.”

The Verdict: USA, USA…

Leeds have an American coach in Marsch, American investors in the 49ers Enterprises and two new American players in Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams.

Therefore, it’s clear to see why the Whites would be tracking Pulisic, who could solve their forward problems.

He can play anywhere across the front three and even as an attacking midfielder, so you’d like to think that he’d fit into Marsch’s versatile attacking system with ease.

Pulisic has plenty of Premier League experience with Chelsea and an impressive record in front of goal for his national team with 21 goals in 50 games, so if the price is right in the final weeks of the market, this could be the kind of opportunity for which Leeds have been waiting.
