Leeds United have had a £3m offer for Birmingham City’s George Hall rejected, according to Football Insider.

The Lowdown: Hall linked with Leeds

The teenager, who has been labelled a ‘really exciting’ player who can ‘influence games’ by Blues academy coach Martyn Olorenshaw, has been on the radar at Elland Road for a number of months.

Reports in April suggested that Leeds were leading the race for the 18-year-old, who can play in a variety of midfield and attacking roles.

The Whites have been locked in talks ever since, but it looks as if Victor Orta has now made a move for the player after already bolstering the club’s academy ranks with moves for Darko Gyabi and Sonny Perkins.

The Latest: Leeds bid rejected

According to Football Insider, Leeds have had an offer worth £3m for Hall rejected by Birmingham.

The report adds that the Championship club view Hall as an ‘outstanding young talent’ who can develop into a Premier League player.

The Verdict: Another offer?

Leeds have done their research when it comes to Hall, so it wouldn’t come as a surprise if they make an improved offer for the player.

Hall netted his first senior goal for Birmingham in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Watford in what was his first start of the 2022/23 campaign.

That display may well have increased his value in the Midlands, but with a significant £5.22m fee already paid for Gyabi, Leeds may well push the £5m mark again to try and bring Hall to Elland Road.
