Wolves forward Hwang Hee-chan would be keen to move to Leeds United and reunite with former manager Jesse Marsch, according to Sky Sports.

The Lowdown: Hwang under Marsch

The South Korea international has worked under nine different managers during his career, but it is with Marsch where he has been most prolific.

The 26-year-old contributed to an impressive 40 goals in 43 games under the American for both RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig.

Reliable reporter Alan Nixon shared the rumours this week regarding a potential late move for Hwang, and Sky Sports have shared what they know on the situation.

The Latest: Sky Sports update

Sky Sports provided an update on Hwang and Leeds on their live transfer blog in the last 48 hours (24/08, 20:38).

A Sky Sports News source said that Leeds remain on the search for a forward and are indeed interested in Hwang, who they say would be keen to work under Marsch once again.

They add however that Roma have also watched the forward, who is valued up to £25m by Wolves.

The Verdict: Too much?

Leeds could really do with a new forward in the final days of the window, especially with Patrick Bamford’s fitness in doubt following an injury against Southampton.

Therefore, bringing in Hwang, who is primarily a centre-forward but can also play out wide, seems to be a good idea.

However, Wolves paid £15m for Hwang, who has scored just five times in 35 games, so a £25m fee could be on the expensive side due to his £14.4m Transfermarkt valuation, but desperate times may call for desperate measures.
