Leeds United have placed a price tag in excess of £30m on goalkeeper Illan Meslier, according to Football Insider.

The Lowdown: Meslier one of three 'planning to quit'

The Whites find themselves in the bottom three in the Premier League, with relegation back to the Championship a serious possibility. That has already led to speculation regarding the futures of a number of first-team players ahead of the summer, including Meslier.

Reports have suggested that Meslier, Robin Koch and Jack Harrison are already 'planning to quit' and find a new club if the club drop to the second tier, and a further update on the Frenchman has emerged.

The Latest: Transfer update

Football Insider reporter Wayne Veysey provided a further update on Meslier on Sunday morning following the update of the three players 'planning to quit'.

He said that the Whites value the ‘keeper at over £30m as he is regarded as one of the club’s prize assets and is of interest to multiple Premier League clubs ahead of the summer.

The Verdict: Big exit?

Meslier, who Phil Hay has previously hailed as being 'top class', has been a regular in recent seasons, making 118 appearances in Yorkshire.

Still just 23 years of age, he already ranks 40th in the all-time Premier League saves list and is valued at a career-high €22m by Transfermarkt.

Therefore, it isn’t a surprise that Leeds see him as a prize asset and would command a big fee for his services if they are relegated, but everyone at Elland Road will be hoping the club aren’t forced into a sale, with Meslier under contract until 2026.
