Leeds United are still âkeenâ on signing Watford forward Ismaila Sarr, according to journalist Jacque Talbot.
The Lowdown: Sarr links
The Whites have been heavily linked with Sarr over the past five days, with reports even claiming that a transfer was close to being finalised.
As we know, a deal is yet to materialise, with Phil Hay saying those rumours were wide of the mark.
Speculation of a move has continued, however, with Talbot sharing what he knows about the Senegal international, who shares the same agent as summer signing Brenden Aaronson.
The Latest: Talbotâs post
Talbot took to Twitter on Friday afternoon to provide an update on Sarrâs future.
He said heâs heard that a move to Newcastle is âvery unlikelyâ at this stage before adding that Leeds are âkeenâ.

The Verdict: Centre-forward needed
If Leeds needed a wide forward, then Sarr, who Ben Foster labelled 'phenomenal', could be the perfect man due to his versatility and previous Premier League experience.
However, Jesse Marsch seems to need a new striker, especially following the 2-2 draw with Southampton on Saturday. Joe Gelhardt didnât make the trip due to a minor issue and Patrick Bamford had to be withdrawn through injury once again, this time with an abductor problem, leaving Marsch with limited options.
Therefore, a new centre-forward appears to be more important than another wide forward, so hopefully, Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta can get one in before the deadline.
