Leeds: Mohamed Camara agrees to Elland Road move

Leeds: Mohamed Camara agrees to Elland Road move -Leeds United News

RB Salzburg midfielder Mohamed Camara has reportedly ‘given his agreement’ to join Leeds United.

The Lowdown: Camara interest

The Whites are on the hunt for a new marquee defensive midfielder to replace Kalvin Phillips. Manchester City will pay Leeds an initial £42m for Phillips, who looks set to undergo a medical with the Premier League champions today.

Leeds have been name-checked with an interest in Camara, reportedly making ‘direct contact’ with his representatives, and it looks as if there is now an agreement in place between the player and the Whites.

The Latest: Source shares update

LUFCFANZONE provided an update regarding the club’s pursuit of the midfielder by talking to a ‘source’ close to Camara.

They said that ‘Mo wants to join Leeds, however at this moment Leeds can’t pay the transfer money and haven’t reached an agreement with Salzburg.’

The source added: ‘Camara has given his agreement that he will join Leeds, however it’s now down to the clubs.’

The Verdict: Time to act Orta

It looks as if Camara is extremely keen to move to Yorkshire and has even been replying to Leeds fans on social media regarding a potential move.

How many more signings do Leeds need after Aaronson, Kristensen and Roca?

There now appears to be an ‘agreement’ between Camara and Leeds, so Victor Orta should be hard at work looking to strike a deal with Salzburg.

He has already done that twice with the Austrian side with moves for Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen, and it seems as if Leeds will need to write a cheque in the region of £17m-£25m for Camara, who Conor McGilligan believes is already ‘KP level’.

The Elland Road transfer guru needs to act fast however, with Brighton also on the trail…
