Leeds United are keeping tabs on Chelsea striker Armando Broja, according to 90min.

The Whites are in the market for a new forward in what has been an extremely busy summer already at Elland Road.

The club’s main target appears to be Club Brugge star Charles De Ketelaere, who they view can play as an inside forward or a secondary forward to support Patrick Bamford.

Leeds are thought to be in pole position to sign the 21-year-old ahead of AC Milan, but it looks as if Victor Orta and co are also tracking other forwards as potential alternatives.

The Latest: Monitoring Broja

90min provided an update regarding Broja on Tuesday, claiming that Chelsea are yet to make a decision regarding Broja.

They add that West Ham were readying an offer last month, while Everton have a serious interest, with Leeds and Newcastle also keeping tabs on the 20-year-old.

The Verdict: Shrewd alternative?

Broja, who Albania national team coach Sergio Porrini hailed as 'devastating', has scored 24 senior goals during his career for club and country.

He appears to be an out-and-out centre-forward and has limited experience of playing in a deeper role or out wide. However, Leeds are after players who can put the ball in the back of the net, something Broja did against the Whites last season during his loan spell with Southampton.

So, should the club miss out on De Ketelaere, Broja could be a smart alternative target after a positive star to his senior career, providing the price is right.
