Leeds supporters are yet to see the summer signing Diego Llorente play for the Whites due to injury. However, the latest update on his fitness suggests Bielsa could get a huge boost by unleashing him vs Chelsea.
The reports on Diego Llorente
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Leeds United defender Llorente is ready to declare himself fit and available for selection ahead of Saturday evening’s clash against the Blues at Stamford Bridge.
Big boost for Leeds
Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has been full of praise for the defender in the past, saying: “Llorente is a very athletic CB who has played also as full back and CM. Quality with his feet. A top player. Fantastic with long passing and comfortable with short.”
Before joining the Premier League side, the six-cap Spain international racked up 247 club appearances and has 18 goals to his name (Transfermarkt), so he has enough experience to come in and thrive when fit and healthy.
It will be exciting for supporters of the club to see his previously unseen talent on display if he features against Chelsea. The player himself is also no doubt itching to make a real start at his new home.
