The Championship season was grounded to a halt back in early March due to the pandemic causing life in general to change.
Having been at a standstill since, much debate over how the 2019/2020 season would be completed has emerged with various people keen to see a points-per-game system end the campaign, whilst others were set on finishing things on the pitch.
With little known over how the English Football League would conclude the season, an announcement was made last week, confirming that fixtures would return on the weekend of June 20.
The decision has been met with mixed reactions, seeing the likes of Leeds keen to restart and the likes of Queens Park Rangers unhappy at the news.
The article shared by Hay which was featured on The Athletic also claims that some clubs in England’s second flight did not know about the news up until 30 minutes before it hit mainstream media.
Reacting to Hay’s tweet, Leeds fans gave an opinion on other club’s negative response to football’s return. It is fair to say that they have little sympathy with them and are keen to crack on with the campaign, understandably so given they sit seven points clear in the top two.
Leeds United are cracking on quite happily – but elsewhere in the Championship there are frustrations over the way the proposed restart is being handled.

Seems to me like some of these clubs only made preparations for the season to be curtailed
