Plenty of Leeds United fans have reacted to the news that former midfielder Andrew Hughes has left Premier League side Sheffield United.
Hughes, 42, confirmed via his official Twitter account that he had left his role with the Blades, having played an important role for the club’s U23 side.
I’d like to thank everyone @SheffieldUnited from the top class manager first team coaches and staff , academy coaches, players all the way down to U9 coach and staff at shirecliff @sufcdevelopment for my time I wish the club well for the future

Hughes, who called time on his playing career in 2015, enjoyed a successful spell at Elland Road between the 2007 and 2010, making over 100 appearances for the Whites, which also saw him help guide the club to promotion from League One.
Having had various coaching spells with the likes of Bolton Wanderers, Rotherham United, Crystal Palace and Huddersfield prior to his spell at Bramell Lane, Hughes is now expected to continue his coaching and look for a new club.
Leeds, who are on the verge of a promotion to the Premier League, sitting top of the Championship at present, would seemingly be a good next step for the former footballer to make, but whether or not Marcelo Bielsa can incorporate him into his plans remains to be seen.
Looking into his exit from Sheffield United, fans from Leeds have now called for him to be hired by the club, perhaps due to the fact they still love him for involvement in a promotion campaign as a player…
