Many Leeds United fans have reacted to Charlton boss Lee Bowyer’s comments on his time with Leeds United during his playing career.
Arriving at Leeds from Charlton during his playing career in 1996 for £2.8m, the midfielder spent six seasons with the Yorkshire club, making over 200 league appearances.
Leaving Elland Road in 2003, the London-born footballer would go on to have spells with Newcastle United, Birmingham City, West Ham United and finally, Ipswich Town.
Now, manager of Charlton, Bowyer has his work cut out to keep the Addicks in the Championship past this season, currently seeing his side sit in the bottom three of the league standings (BBC Sport).
The 43-year-old’s comments were relayed by LUFCMOT on Twitter and have now prompted a reaction from Leeds fans, who fondly remember his efforts at the club and have been raving about him.
Massive influence during the champions league season, scored some great goals too, can’t think of any better box to box midfielders during that time.
