Leeds United have a huge rivalry with Manchester United and the two face each other in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. Marcelo Bielsa provided an injury update on the squad prior to the match.
Update from Bielsa’s press conference
Journalist for The Athletic, Phil Hay, was at the manager’s press conference and tweeted: “Really interesting presser with Bielsa. No new injuries, that’s the first thing.”
This is a huge boost for Leeds
With the club playing three games in a week the fact that they have come through it with ‘no new injuries’ is a great boost for fans – Bielsa has nearly a fully fit squad available.
This means they only have four players out, (Physioroom) and three of them have only played one game this season, so only Robin Koch would really be considered a major miss.
The emphatic 5-2 victory over Newcastle United on Wednesday showed that they are in some good form, and with the Red Devils just about managing to beat bottom of the league Sheffield United, Bielsa will feel like the club have a great chance to defeat their bitter rivals.
In other news, here is the latest update on the club and their pursuit of a Serie A striker!
