Leeds United are considering a late move for Rangers winger Ryan Kent, according to The Daily Mail.

The Lowdown: Kent linked with Leeds

The Whites were heavily linked with a move for the 25-year-old during Marcelo Bielsa’s time in charge at Elland Road.

Rangers rejected a £10m bid from Leeds back in 2020, with rumours continuing last year and even in May following Bielsa’s departure. Speculation has once again returned regarding Kent and Leeds with just a few days remaining in the summer transfer window.

The Latest: Late move?

The Daily Mail shared a story on Tuesday morning, stating that Leeds are considering reigniting their interest in Kent.

The winger is into the final 12 months of his Ibrox contract but could stay put after Rangers qualified for the Champions League group stage.

The Verdict: Avoid

Should Dan James stay put, then a move for Kent - who 'destroyed Dortmund' in the Europa League last season according to journalist Josh Bunting - doesn’t appear to be necessary from Victor Orta and Andrea Radrizzani.

Jesse Marsch’s side are well-stocked out wide, with Jack Harrison, Luis Sinisterra, James, Crysencio Summerville and Brenden Aaronson all at the 48-year-old's disposal.

Therefore, bringing in Kent - who has scored 34 goals during his first-team career - may not be a wise idea, especially with Leeds currently short of senior central attacking options following Patrick Bamford’s injury struggles.
