Presenter and YouTuber Conor McGilligan has urged Leeds United to complete a deal for Hoffenheim's Georginio Rutter as quickly as possible.

The Lowdown: Rutter is 'open' to Leeds move

Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg recently tweeted that Leeds want to sign the 20-year-old and Rutter is 'open' to a ‘massive’ move to the Premier League side.

Jesse Marsch's side are lacking in options up front, with Patrick Bamford out through injury as his fitness struggles continue.

The Latest: McGilligan wants deal done 'quickly'

McGilligan took to his Twitter account to express his view on the link to the forward, urging the Whites to 'get it done quickly'.

He tweeted: “Be so nice to get it done quickly, instead of a last-minute change of heart and the fanbase in meltdown.

“Buck the trend.”

The Verdict: Rutter has the potential to improve at Leeds

Rutter is only 20, but for someone his age, he's showing plenty of promise. The Frenchman has four goal contributions in the German Bundesliga this season, picking up 11 in the league with Hoffenheim last term.

Leeds have an experienced forward in their ranks in the form of Rodrigo, who has found the net 10 times in the Premier League and has experience playing in top European leagues, meaning Rutter could learn a lot under the tutelage of the 31-year-old.

And it appears McGilligan may get his wish, with Fabrizio Romano since revealing negotiations over a move in the region of €30m (£26.5m) are now ‘very advanced’.

With Bamford’s prolonged injury issues in mind, securing Ritter’s signature could be the boost Leeds need as they look to secure Premier League survival for another season.
