# Leeds United: Raphinha’s contract details emerge as move edges closer

**A report in Italy has claimed that Rennes attacker Raphinha will join Leeds United and sign a five year contract worth £28k-per-week.**

With the transfer window now coming to an end, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa continues to be linked with a whole host of players.

The latest player to be linked with a move to Elland Road is [Raphinha with a](https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/leeds-united-transfers-live-raphinha-19045842)deal in the region of £21m said to have been agreed.

[The Sun](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/12841405/leeds-transfer-raphinha-fly-uk/?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=sunfootballtwitter&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1601803695) followed up those claims with a report saying that the young forward would arrive in Yorkshire on Monday to complete a medical.

With a deadline day move now expected, [Tuttomercatoweb](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/calcio-estero/tmw-leeds-dopo-l-accordo-col-rennes-ecco-quello-con-raphinha-5-anni-di-contratto-1441100) have reported the finer details of the youngster’s claimed contract with Leeds.

That report goes on to say that a five-year deal has been agreed with a contract worth £28,000 per week on the table, meaning the Brazilian forward would earn just under £1.5m a year.

Raphinha scored [five goals and registered three assists in 22 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/raphinha/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/411295/saison/2018/wettbewerb/PO1) in Ligue 1 last season, helping them to [reach the Champions League for the first time.](https://www.givemesport.com/1591338-champions-league-stade-rennes-celebrate-qualification-by-blasting-out-famous-anthem-at-3am)

This seems to be close to a done deal for Leeds, and judging by the attacker’s aforementioned statistics, it could prove to be a very good one.

Of course, things can change at the drop of a hat as[Bielsa knows of late](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/newcastle-united-transfer-rumours/magpies-interest-michael-cuisance-leeds-transfer-latest/), but Raphinha looks like he will be putting a Leeds shirt soon.
