Former Leeds United star Jon Newsome has claimed that there is next to no chance of Patrick Bamford joining Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Bamford has enjoyed a superb season for the Whites, as Leeds have taken well to life in the Premier League.
The forward scored 17 goals in 38 games, also registering eight assists, and has been linked with Spurs as a potential replacement for Harry Kane.
Will Bamford get an England call-up in the future?
Kane, of course, is said to have asked to leave the club this summer, per Sky Sports, sparking rumours of a potential move to Manchester City, Mancheter United, or Chelsea.
Bamford is said to have been considered as a potential recruit to replace the England captain but it remains to be seen if a bid will be tabled.
The ex-Leeds star, though, says that there is next to no chance of Leeds allowing Bamford to leave this summer.
Speaking exclusively to The Transfer Tavern, he said: “I really don’t see Leeds United wanting to accept offers for him.”
Bamford has a contract until 2022 and is valued at £16.2m by Transfermarkt.
