Leeds: Andrea Radrizzani appears to provide Raphinha update -Leeds United News

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has taken to Twitter yet again, responding to a question about Barcelona’s payment for Raphinha.

The Lowdown: Radrizzani’s deadline day slip-up

The Italian has never been shy to take to social media to engage with fans, although he was made to eat his words on deadline day.

Leeds appeared to be edging closer to a late move for Marseille forward Bamba Dieng, with Radrizzani welcoming the player to Elland Road on Twitter.

However, the Senegal international had a change of heart at the final minute and didn’t board the private jet to Yorkshire, leaving the Whites in a late scramble to sign teenager Wilfried Gnonto.

The Latest: At it again

Radrizzani previously said that if Barcelona didn’t pay the £55m fee for Raphinha by September 2, then Leeds ‘will have a global case about Barcelona through all the media in the world’.

He was asked on Twitter if the La Liga had kept to their side of the deal, replying ‘all good, thanks for caring’.

Happy with Leeds' summer business?

Yes, just about!

The Verdict: Good news

The Spanish giants appear to be in a financial crisis, so some from Elland Road may have been fearing the worst when it comes to receiving payment for the Brazilian winger.

However, it appears as if Barcelona have actually paid up, which will be a relief to everyone associated with Leeds. That money appears to have already been spent over the summer, with the Whites receiving £97m and spending £99m in recent months.
