Leeds United are hoping to pay off midfielder Ouasim Bouy after leaving him out of the club’s Premier League squad.
Whites manager Marcelo Bielsa had a busy summer transfer window, spending just under the £100m mark as he brought in the likes of Rodrigo Moreno, Diego Llorente and Raphinha.
With Bielsa seemingly settled on his preferred players, Bouy was left out of the club’s 25-man Premier League squad and currently remains a frozen-out character at Elland Road.
What next for Ouasim Bouy at Leeds?
Football Insider have now looked closer at the midfielder’s future, discussing his current contract which runs until next summer. The website reported that officials from Leeds are keen to pay off the Dutch midfielder, whose agent is Mino Raiola, and terminate his contract.
What has gone wrong for Bouy at Leeds?
With the emergence of Kalvin Phillips at Leeds, Bielsa was always going to struggle to find a place in his starting XI for the Dutchman and it now seems like the Yorkshire club want to clear him off the current wage bill.
The player is within his rights to hold out for the money owed to him, and he could do just that after seemingly not gaining a loan move or transfer out of Elland Road this summer.
