Leeds United transfer target Juan Foyth is expected to leave Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Marcelo Bielsa has guided the Whites top of the Championship table and on course for promotion to the Premier League.
The Argentine coach will undoubtedly have his sights set on the summer transfer window, where he will look to further improve his squad. Central defence is likely to be a priority, with Ben White due to return to Brighton following his loan deal and Gaetano Berardi set to leave on a free transfer.
Foyth, the subject of several loan enquiries from Leeds in the past, now looks set to leave Tottenham. La Liga giants Barcelona are also said to be interested in the Argentine international as boss Quique Setien looks to improve his defensive options, whilst the 22-year-old could receive further interest from European clubs.
El Dia now report that the defender is almost certain to leave the north London club and that could open the door for a move to Elland Road.
The fact that Foyth has experience in the Premier League, and that he is an Argentine compatriot of Bielsa, could make him a perfect fit for Leeds and their manager. At a relatively young age of 22, the central defender could provide the Whites with a solid defensive option for a number of years.
Would Foyth be a good signing for Leeds this summer? Let us know in the comments section below…
