Leeds United: Fans react to Che Adams transfer link

Many Leeds United fans have given their opinion on a fresh report linking Southampton’s Che Adams with a summer move to the club.
With Marcelo Bielsa’s side sitting top of the Championship, the Argentine tactician will undoubtedly have some thoughts on adding some new faces and extra options to his squad ahead of what looks increasingly likely to be a Premier League return.
Having put his trust in striker Patrick Bamford for the most part this season, Bielsa has had very few back-up options for the former Middlesbrough man.
Eddie Nketiah did start the 2019/2020 season with Leeds, before returning to Arsenal in January, whilst winter signing Jean-Kevin Augustin has had little success since moving to Yorkshire.
Adams, who has struggled to adapt to life at the St. Marys stadium with Southampton, could potentially be available this summer after failing to net a single Premier League goal.
And, with that prospect, Leeds could well make a move with Football Insider reporting a cut-price deal is being considered by Bielsa and officials at Elland Road.
Adams, who was previously at Birmingham City, scored 22 goals in 2018/2019 Championship season, proving that he can score at a consistent level before joining the Saints.
Reacting to the news via Facebook group All Leeds Aren’t We!!! where Transfer Tavern’s Ben Crump asked: “Should we sign Che Adams? Personally think he suits us….”, fans responded.
David Sissons: No thanks
Gary Clarke: I was going to say Pukki
Paul Douglas: No, need a Prem striker, not a Championship one
Steven Bonnaud: Defo
Connor Mahoney: Why sign Che Adams when we failed the last time
AJ Caley: One goal in how many games???
Stuart Hogg: Shane Long
Aaron Collier: No there is better out there
Mick Fisher: No cannot improve us so no point
Dan Day: Rather have Shane Long
Oran Sean Gowran: Might as well sign my mother, she would do a better job than him
