Recent reports in France (via Le10Sport ) have stated that Leeds United are looking to acquire left-back Romain Perraud in the summer, and Phil Hay’s latest update on the rumour will excite supporters.
The latest on Perraud
Hay confirmed in his latest piece for The Athletic that the rumoured interest is true. He tweeted a simple five word update on the situation as well, confirming there is “firm interest in Perraud at Brest” as the Whites eye a potential summer swoop.
This would be a good signing for Leeds
Perraud is valued at £7.20m and is only 23 years-old, but looks to already be a very solid full-back and is currently having a brilliant season in Ligue 1. He has made 21 appearances in the division, managing on average 1.7 tackles, 1.2 interceptions and 1.9 clearances per game (WhoScored).
He has also been a great attacking threat for his side, managing 1.3 shots and one key pass a game. The Frenchman has an impressive three goals and five assists to his name this season.
Perraud looks to be a typical Bielsa player as he offers a lot going forward and loves bombing down the wing and overlapping the forward players – no Premier League defender has more than five assists this season.
