Leeds United seem to have found a real talent in Manchester City loanee Jack Harrison and Phil Hay has dropped an exciting update on his future.
The latest on Harrison
The journalist was asked on a Q&A on The Athletic if the winger could sign permanently for Leeds and his reply was: “My expectation is that he’ll join Leeds.”
This is great news for Leeds
In his 21 appearances in England’s top flight, Harrison has thoroughly impressed. He has picked up six goals, four assists, and managed 1.5 shots and 1.8 key passes and 1.3 successful dribbles a gamre (WhoScored).
He is also only 24 years-old, so has the potential to get even better than he already is. Chelsea boss Frank Lampard recently heaped praise on Harrison for his development as he has seen him grow since their time together at New York City FC, with Lampard calling him a ‘lovely lad’ who has been ‘really really impressive’.
If Harrison continues producing like he did at one point this season when he had the most key passes in Europe, then there is no doubt that Marcelo Bielsa will be getting an absolute bargain if he can keep hold of the Man City man.
The move would seemingly benefit all parties. Harrison clearly enjoys playing for the club or he wouldn’t have come back, and he is guaranteed consistent playing time at Elland Road, something which simply isn’t the case under Pep Guardiola.
In other news, Bielsa was loving one Leeds man in his press conference. Have a read who it was here!
