Leicester City are already sounding out potential new managers with Brendan Rodgers on the verge of being sacked, according to a fresh report.

The Lowdown: Rodgers under immense pressure

The Foxes were humiliated away to Tottenham on Saturday evening, losing 6-2 in their Premier League clash as they remain bottom of the table.

That's now just one point from seven league games for Leicester, who have lost six in a row in the top flight, and the pressure is understandably mounting on Rodgers, who looks a forlorn figure currently.

His future is believed to be hanging by a thread, and a fresh update suggests that a change of manager could be happening soon.

The Latest: Sacking seems imminent

According to Football Insider, Leicester's board are looking at possible new bosses as they 'prepare to sack' Rodgers.

The report states that he is 'on the brink' of losing his job during the current international break, following a three-and-a-half-year spell at the King Power Stadium.

The Verdict: Right time to go

Rodgers has done a good job at Leicester overall, famously winning the FA Cup in 2021 and twice guiding them to fifth in the Premier League, but it really does feel like his time at the club has reached its natural conclusion.

To have just one point after seven matches simply isn't good enough for a squad with the ninth-highest market value in the league (Transfermarkt); and going by the feeble concession of 11 goals in their last two games, it feels increasingly as though his squad isn't playing for him, which is always a worrying issue for any manager.

Now feels like the right time to dispense with Rodgers and bring in a replacement, giving the new boss a chance to become accustomed to his new surroundings during the international break.
