Leicester City and manager Brendan Rodgers are 'already' eyeing January transfer targets with news emerging on in-form RC Lens forward Lois Openda.

The Lowdown: Rodgers under fire...

The Foxes have started this 2022/2023 Premier League campaign in torrid fashion with Rodgers guiding his side to five defeats and a draw over their opening six league matches.

Only Leicester and Everton haven't won a single league match so far and pressure will be on Rodgers to deliver sooner rather than later.

Having won the title in 2015/2016 and staying among England's elite initially, Leicester have also narrowly missed out on qualification for the Champions League in recent years.

As they hope to regain their form and clinch something from this season, it appears they may have their eye on the transfer window already.

The Latest: Foxes eye Openda move...

According to Media Foot, it is now believed that Leicester are 'already' eyeing RC Lens forward Openda - who has been on fire so far this season.

Indeed, the Belgium international has scored four goals in his first seven games for the Ligue 1 side and apparently meets all the criteria both Rodgers and Leicester desire - namely 'speed, power and efficiency'.

The Verdict: Make the move?

At 22-years-old, Openda is apparently seen as one of Belgium's 'bright hopes' for the future and has already turned heads at previous club Vitesse Arnhem.

The Belgian title-winning star, having clinched the honour with Club Brugge in 2019, already has some trophy-winning experience and his form for Lens this season is perhaps an indicator of his potential.

Openda's glowing reputation has apparently caught the attention of Leicester, and with January just over three months away, it will be interesting to see if Rodgers does make a move.
