# Leicester: Fans rage at Youri Tielemans for Aston Villa performance

**Leicester City still have it all to do to reach the final of the Carabao Cup.**

A 1-1 draw in the first leg with Aston Villa at the King Power Stadium was surely not what Brendan Rodgers had in mind as they head into the reverse fixture, considering the difference in position between the two Midlands clubs in the Premier League this season.

Indeed, the Foxes will now need a positive result at Villa Park to ensure qualification for the final at Wembley against either Manchester United or Manchester City.

A poor end to December left Rodgers’ side 13 points adrift of Liverpool in the title race, dropping points against the Reds, as well as to City and Norwich.

Fans haven’t been too pleased with the drop off in form, with midfielder Youri Tielemans being one player they’re particularly unhappy with.

[The Belgian won just four of his nine duels, and lost possession 19 times (via SofaScore)](https://www.sofascore.com/aston-villa-leicester-city/GP) in the draw at the King Power.

Here’s how some Leicester fans reacted to his poor display:

> I know he’s a very talented player but surely Tielemans is soon to be dropped? Slows down the midfield and hasn’t made a good pass since November 2019.

> Agree. Seems he’s tired from all the running he does, so that when he finally gets the ball, he’s very sluggish with it.
