# Sunderland: Fans slam Leon Dajaku’s display v Oldham

**Many Sunderland fans criticised the performance of Leon Dajaku in their 1-0 loss to Oldham Athletic in the Papa John’s Trophy on Wednesday night.**

A second half goal from Harry Vaughan for the visitors was enough to eliminate a fairly youthful Black Cats team from the competition, ending their hopes of retaining the trophy, and while some of the youngsters put in a decent effort, several supporters were not happy with Dajaku’s performance.

The man on loan from Union Berlin lost out on five of his duels and also failed to record a single shot on goal, clearance, interception, tackle, key pass, accurate cross or long ball. He was guilty of losing possession on 11 separate occasions in the match, the joint-fifth most out of any of his teammates ([SofaScore](https://www.sofascore.com/oldham-athletic-sunderland/Qspb)).
