# Liverpool: Fans fume over Adrian team news hint

**Some Liverpool fans were incensed by the latest social media post from backup goalkeeper Adrian.**

The 34-year-old [said](https://twitter.com/AdriSanMiguel/status/1362502501946318850) that he was “already thinking” about the Premier League and was excited about the upcoming Merseyside Derby against arch-rivals Everton on Saturday at Anfield.

This follows on from the fact that Alisson Becker was [missing](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-training-fabinho-alisson-becker-19869462) from Thursday’s training session as the Reds aim to right the wrongs of their recent domestic slump.

Adrian, who earns [£55k-per-week](https://www.sportekz.com/football/liverpool-players-salaries/) on Merseyside, has been heavily [criticised](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-adrian-everton-goal-keane-22861423) for some of his performances during the 2020/21 campaign, having averaged a match rating of just [5.01](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/73399/Show/Adri%C3%A1n) from [two](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/73399/Show/Adri%C3%A1n) Premier League games this season.

With this in mind, a minority of supporters showed their apparent disgust over the prospect of the Spaniard featuring against Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
