# Liverpool: Andrew Robertson facing fitness check ahead of Napoli game

**Liverpool could be without a key defensive and creative presence as they [begin the defence of their Champions League title](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/spielplan/verein/31) against Napoli tonight.**

According to [liverpoolfc.com](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/364898-reds-to-assess-andy-robertson-fitness-ahead-of-napoli-tie?utm_source=Social&utm_medium=TwitterWebsiteCards&utm_content=Digital&utm_campaign=LFCTwitterCards), the 25-year-old did not train at Melwood yesterday morning as a precaution after incurring a slight knock.
