# Liverpool are reportedly ready to offer bumper deal for hugely talented 19-year-old

***The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for a new defender to join the club this summer, with the left-back spot proving to be a very problematic area for the Reds…***

Natural defender Alberto Moreno has struggled whenever he has played this season, with midfielder James Milner often filling in instead of him, though that is not a solution that Liverpool can look towards long-term.

Indeed, it seems as though Jurgen Klopp has identified the player that could fill that gap – with [Cadena Sar reporting](https://cadenaser.com/programa/2017/04/06/el_larguero/1491510550_637747.html) that Liverpool are keen on €24m-rated Atletico Madrid defender Theo Hernandez.

[According to the report](https://cadenaser.com/programa/2017/04/06/el_larguero/1491510550_637747.html), the club are [reportedly](https://cadenaser.com/programa/2017/04/06/el_larguero/1491510550_637747.html) willing to offer him a bumper deal to come to Anfield, with a salary five times larger than what he currently receives.

He has been a regular in La Liga this season whilst on loan with Deportivo Alavés, making 24 appearances so far, proving himself to be a vital part of proceedings at the club.

A solid all-rounder, our landlord thinks that he would be a great choice for Klopp. At just 19-years-old, he would also be the long-term solution that the German craves.
