Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are excitedly discussing the latest transfer rumour concerning their club and manager Jurgen Klopp, who seems set for some major signings in 2016.

[Spanish outlet *Sport* claim Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegan is being targeted by Jurgen Klopp](https://metro.co.uk/2015/11/04/liverpoo-boss-jurgen-klopp-requests-transfer-of-barcelona-goalkeeper-marc-andre-ter-stegen-report-5479213/), amid speculation he is unsettled in Catalonia.

Ter Stegan has starred in Spain, winning the Champions League in his first season, but has had to share first-team duties with Claudio Bravo; who is the favoured choice in La Liga, leaving his German colleague with cup responsibilities.

At Liverpool Ter Stegan would likely feature in all competitions and would have a defence built around him, although there could be difficulties as the Barcelona man has a [whopping release-clause of £56.7m in his contract.](https://metro.co.uk/2015/11/04/liverpoo-boss-jurgen-klopp-requests-transfer-of-barcelona-goalkeeper-marc-andre-ter-stegen-report-5479213/)

The Spanish giants won’t want to sell, perceiving Ter Stegan as the ideal first-choice goalkeeper moving forward, but Luis Enrique may have to reassess his squad plans beyond next summer if they are to keep the future German number 1 content.
