# Liverpool boss reassures Reds star ahead of the transfer window

[![Luis Suarez](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Luis-Suarez-1.jpg)](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Luis-Suarez-1.jpg)Liverpool fans are nodding along in the Football Transfer Tavern as our landlord explains the latest claim from [Metro](https://metro.co.uk/2014/04/29/no-one-will-love-you-like-liverpool-do-brendan-rodgers-warns-luis-suarez-amid-new-real-madrid-link-4712748/).

The publication seem to be under the impression that Reds manager Brendan Rodgers has moved to dismiss speculation linking Luis Suarez with a move to Real Madrid.

Not only that, but the table topping boss has also taken the opportunity to remind Suarez just how much Liverpool fans love him – not to mention how they have stood by him through thick and thin.

He claimed: “Luis understands he may not get the same love he does at Liverpool from anywhere else.

“From the first year, he knew I would shape the team around his qualities. He loves the city and the supporters.

“Also, guys like Steven Gerrard talked to him telling him there was an opportunity to be a legend at the club.”

After winning the PFA Player of the Year award, our punters think that Suarez is even more of a hot property and that has seen his value skyrocket even further.

This means that if Liverpool did have to sell the player, at least they would get a pretty penny for him.
