# Liverpool: Fans applaud Mohamed Salah’s goal against Salzburg

**Liverpool fans have been drooling over the goal that Mohamed Salah scored during his side’s [2-0](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/european/liverpool-vs-salzburg-report-champions-league-goals-salah-keita-melissa-reddy-a9241401.html) win against RB Salzburg on Tuesday.**

The Egyptian, 27, was guilty of [missing](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/european/liverpool-vs-salzburg-report-champions-league-goals-salah-keita-melissa-reddy-a9241401.html) several opportunities during the affair but eventually got the goal that he deserved in the second half after Naby Keita scored the Reds’ opener a minute beforehand.

The result meant that Jurgen Klopp’s side [advanced](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpools-possible-champions-league-opponents-21070412) into the last 16 of the Champions League as group winners, despite Napoli beating Genk 4-0 in the other group game.

Despite Salah missing a hatful of chances, he took his most difficult opportunity.

The angle appears to be tight, but he successfully rounded goalkeeper Cican Stankovic and slotted home to double Liverpool’s advantage on the night.

Supporters were in awe of Salah’s skill and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan described him as a “magician”, while another said that it was a “ridiculous angle”.
