# Liverpool: Many fans claim Sadio Mane is best in the world after electric start to season

**Liverpool’s late winner against Crystal Palace meant they maintained their eight-point lead on second-placed Leicester. Sadio Mane has had a huge impact on Liverpool’s unbeaten form, [scoring eight and assisting two](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/109915/Show/Sadio-Man%C3%A9) in the Premier League so far this season. He’s started [12 of Liverpool’s 13 games](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/109915/Show/Sadio-Man%C3%A9) and looks as energetic as ever.**

That was proved by his performance against Palace, when he looked sharp on the break, particularly when he turned two defenders inside out with a turn down the right wing. That was picked up on by Liverpool’s official Twitter account, who posted [a clip](https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1198575239644549125) of the moment themselves.

Fans have seen him, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino score [23 goals and make 10 assists between them](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/top-scorers) in all competitions this season, with Mane being the club’s top scorer on 10. That’s been enough for many Liverpool fans to reply to the club’s tweet and claim he’s the best in the world.
