# Liverpool: Fans commend Michael Edwards over possible £10m deal for Bobby Duncan

**Liverpool director of football Michael Edwards is in negotiations with Fiorentina over the possible sale of Bobby Duncan, as reported by [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/fiorentina-table-10m-duncan-offer/).**

According to [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/fiorentina-table-10m-duncan-offer/), the Serie A club have submitted a buy-to-loan offer worth at least £10m for the teenager, and that news was conveyed by Liverpool-focused Twitter channel [@AnfieldEdition](https://twitter.com/AnfieldEdition/status/1166076253272715264).

The 18-year-old [featured in four pre-season games for the Reds’ first team this summer](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/358433/Show/Bobby-Duncan) and [scored in the first of those, a 6-0 win against Tranmere](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/356093-match-report-liverpool-tranmere-rovers-pre-season).

He was very prolific for Liverpool’s under-18 side last season with [25 goals in all competitions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bobby-duncan/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/401543) and he [netted in the Reds’ FA Youth Cup final triumph over Manchester City](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/04/25/liverpool-crowned-fa-youth-cup-winners-beating-manchester-city/).

However, the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7236721/Jurgen-Klopp-Bobby-Duncan-pre-season-chance-Liverpool.html) reported last month that Duncan expressed concerns about his prospects of breaking into the Liverpool first team under Jurgen Klopp.

Also, [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-liverpool-player-axed-from-squad-after-opening-talks-to-quit/) reported that the youngster was omitted from Liverpool’s under-23 squad for their match against Southampton last night amid talks over his possible move to Fiorentina.

On Edwards’ watch, the Anfield club have recouped eight-figure fees for strikers such as Dominic Solanke ([£19m to Bournemouth](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46763610)) and Danny Ings ([£20m to Southampton](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48831514)) and these Liverpool fans on Twitter believe that the club’s director of football is about to commission another astute sale:

> Great deal, he is not good enough for lfc, other than blasting goals in youth games hasn't the game to stand out in Premier league.
