# Liverpool: Fans delight as Joe Gomez footage emerges

**Some Liverpool fans have been reacting in delighted fashion to a video of Joe Gomez continuing his recovery from a serious injury.**

The Reds have been decimated by fitness problems this season, derailing their Premier League title defence so much so that they are now battling for a top-four finish.

Jurgen Klopp has been without key players all over the pitch, but centre-back has proven to be his biggest issue, with Gomez, Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip [all out](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/sperrenundverletzungen/verein/31) for the rest of the campaign.

Gomez picked up a [knee injury](https://theathletic.com/news/liverpool-gomez-injury-latest-england/9jbSwCo4mm9T) on England duty back in November, keeping him out for many months and ending his hopes of playing at Euro 2020 this summer.

On Friday, Gomez took to [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/joegomez5/) to post footage of him working hard on his recovery in the Liverpool gym, with [*Anfield Watch*](https://www.anfieldwatch.co.uk/) sharing the clip on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/AnfieldWatch/status/1383010472610430976?s=20).
