# Liverpool: Fans delighted with reports that Adrian could leave

**A number of Liverpool supporters have been showing their delight at the news that Adrian’s time at Anfield could come to an end this summer.**

Things have gone relatively quiet on the Reds front for the time being, with some players on Euro 2020 duty and others enjoying some downtime after a long season. Jurgen Klopp will be working hard on perfecting his summer transfer business, though, with [incomings and outgoings expected](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-transfer-news-rumours-live-20755123) at Anfield.

One player whose future appears to be up in the air is Adrian, with the Spaniard proving to be an unconvincing understudy to Alisson.

Having made an [impressive start](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/4928146) to life on Merseyside, the 34-year-old’s form then began to dip, culminating in a [terrible performance](https://metro.co.uk/2020/03/11/liverpool-fans-turn-adrian-champions-league-exit-atletico-madrid-12384821/) which all but single-handedly got Liverpool knocked out of the 2019/20 Champions League by Atletico Madrid. He was also [culpable for some errors](https://metro.co.uk/2020/10/04/liverpool-news-adrian-alisson-becker-injury-aston-villa-13370863/) in the 7-2 drubbing at Villa Park last October.

According to [ESPN](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/4377920/summer-transfer-window-preview-mbappe-to-madrid-messi-to-stay-at-barca-sancho-to-united), Adrian is ‘likely’ to leave the Reds for free this summer, with his contract at the club expiring.
