# Liverpool: Fans demanding a senior debut for Rhian Brewster against MK Dons

**Teenage Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster is in line to make his competitive first-team debut for the club in tonight’s Carabao Cup clash against MK Dons.**

The Reds’ assistant manager Pepijn Lijnders told [liverpoolfc.com](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/365988-pepijn-lijnders-rhian-brewster-mk-dons-team-selection) that the 19-year-old is in contention to feature and is confident that he will adapt comfortably to senior football. Liverpool’s official Twitter channel [@LFC](https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1176471784553615360) subsequently conveyed the team news to its followers.

Brewster enjoyed a superb pre-season with Liverpool’s first-team squad, [scoring four times in their July fixtures](https://www.thisisanfield.com/2019/08/rhian-brewster-harry-wilson-catch-the-eye-liverpool-fcs-2019-pre-season-in-numbers/), and while he has [yet to feature in a competitive senior game](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/rhian-brewster/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/406560), he [has been in the squad a couple of times this season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/rhian-brewster/leistungsdaten/spieler/406560), [making the bench for the 2-1 win at Chelsea at the weekend](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/rhian-brewster/leistungsdaten/spieler/406560).

The teenager has [scored twice in five games for the Reds’ under-23 side so far this term](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/rhian-brewster/leistungsdaten/spieler/406560) and, with Lijnders [indicating that manager Jurgen Klopp will utilise the squad for the MK Dons game](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/365988-pepijn-lijnders-rhian-brewster-mk-dons-team-selection), he could be given his first-team bow tomorrow night.

These Liverpool fans on Twitter have urged Klopp to select Brewster for the Carabao Cup clash:
