# Liverpool: Fans desperate for Ozan Kabak to stay

**A number of Liverpool fans are desperate for the club to sign Ozan Kabak on a permanent deal this summer after he impressed on loan at Anfield.**

The Reds’ Premier League season is over for another year, with Jurgen Klopp no doubt a relieved man. His side [beat Crystal Palace 2-0](https://www.skysports.com/football/liverpool-vs-crystal-palace/report/429212) at Anfield on Sunday, not only booking a place in next season’s Champions League but also finishing third in the table.

It was a monumental effort by Klopp and his players in the final two months of the campaign, with [eight wins and two draws](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/spielplan/verein/31) from their last 10 league games highlighting their brilliance.

Someone who came in at the lowest point of the campaign was Kabak, who [joined](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/12206006/ozan-kabak-transfer-liverpool-sign-schalke-centre-back-on-six-month-loan-with-option-to-buy) on loan from Schalke 04 in February in order to help ease the [centre-back injury crisis](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-injuries-premier-league-rivals-20562795).

The defender [grew into the role](https://tbrfootball.com/sensational-liverpool-fans-laud-ozan-kabak-following-rb-leipzig-display/) after a [shaky start](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/ozan-kabak-relives-liverpool-nightmare-debut-at-leicester), looking a classy prospect, although it [remains unclear](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/435039-jurgen-klopp-on-ozan-kabak-fighting-back-and-sticking-together) whether he will be signed permanently for [£18m](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/12206006/ozan-kabak-transfer-liverpool-sign-schalke-centre-back-on-six-month-loan-with-option-to-buy) this summer.
