# Liverpool: Fans dread the return of Loris Karius from Besiktas loan spell

**Liverpool fans have [reacted](https://twitter.com/skysportspl/status/1188847898449960962?s=12) to [reports](https://www.takvim.com.tr/spor/2019/10/24/besiktasta-ocakta-ilk-yolcu-loris-karius-olacak) that goalkeeper Loris Karius could see his loan spell with Besiktas cut short.**

After joining the Reds in the summer of 2016 for a fee of [£4.75m](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/10293364/liverpool-sign-mainz-goalkeeper-loris-karius-on-long-term-contract) from Bundesliga side Mainz, his time at Anfield has not gone to plan after being loaned out to the Turkish outfit after two seasons at the club.

During his first campaign, the German shot-stopper only managed[three clean sheets](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/loris-karius/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/85864) in 10 appearances in the Premier League and [10 clean sheets](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/loris-karius/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/85864) in 19 games the season after.

Karius is infamous for his two catastrophic errors during Liverpool’s [3-1](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44258022) defeat to Real Madrid in the 2018 Champions League final, with the club signing Roma keeper Alisson Becker a few months later.

After a catalogue of unforced errors for Kara Kartallar, [Takvim](https://www.takvim.com.tr/spor/2019/10/24/besiktasta-ocakta-ilk-yolcu-loris-karius-olacak) have revealed that the club are negotiating with Liverpool to cancel their loan agreement for the German goalkeeper earlier than originally planned.

Fans have responded in their waves, and one supporter has predicted that Karius would be the “7th choice option” at Anfield if he were to return.

Here you will find some of the best comments from Liverpool fans:
