After going on to win the competition in June during his side’s [2-0](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48368443) win against Spurs in Madrid, he [won](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/11818036/liverpool-boss-jurgen-klopp-wins-best-fifa-mens-coach-award) the UEFA Men’s Coach of the Year prize at FIFA’s The Best awards ahead of Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola and Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino. During the ceremony, he also said he would donate 1% of his salary to the [Common Goal](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49805486) movement.

Supporters were delighted with Klopp’s latest achievement and made their feelings clear on social media. Some supporters [voted](https://twitter.com/gerrard1212/status/1196411643745505282) for the Stuttgart-born coach immediately.
