# Liverpool: Fans fume after club linked with 20-year-old Spanish starlet

**Fans of Liverpool have been reacting to a post on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/AnfieldEdition/status/1336087589242232834), which relayed a report that claimed the club are interested in Sevilla goalkeeper Alfonso Pastor.**

According to Spanish publication [AS](https://as.com/futbol/2020/12/03/primera/1607001789_663649.html), Liverpool have ‘set their eyes’ on the [£180k-rated](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfonso-pastor/marktwertverlauf/spieler/537367) 20-year-old, whose Sevilla contract is [set to expire at the end of the season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfonso-pastor/marktwertverlauf/spieler/537367).

Real Madrid are also mentioned as a potential suitor for the former [Spanish U17 international](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfonso-pastor/nationalmannschaft/spieler/537367), who has only made [one appearance for Sevilla’s first team](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfonso-pastor/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/537367) – a [4-0 loss to Chelsea](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3461785) in the Champions League.

However, after [Anfield Edition](https://twitter.com/AnfieldEdition/status/1336087589242232834) relayed this report on Twitter, many fans of Liverpool were left furious, as a great number of them appeared to feel that Caoimhin Kelleher, who has [kept two clean sheets](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/caoimhin-kelleher/leistungsdaten/spieler/340918) whilst stepping in for the [injured Alisson Becker](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alisson/leistungsdaten/spieler/105470), should now be the Brazilian’s deputy, rather than the club looking to bring in another ‘keeper, such as Pastor.

### So, what exactly did these Liverpool fans have to say in reaction to the report regarding the club’s interest in **Alfonso Pastor?**

> We don’t need him. We’ve got Kelleher. Or are we looking for 3rd choice? But we don’t need him. I’ll still with Kelleher. He’s proven he can be Alisson back up.
