# Liverpool: Fans hammer Emre Can amid reports of likely exit from Juventus

**Only a year after [leaving Liverpool](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/44419727), Germany midfielder Emre Can could be on the move again amid reports of being unwanted at Juventus by new manager Maurizio Sarri.**

According to [Tuttosport](https://www.tuttosport.com/) \[[via Football Italia](https://www.football-italia.net/142265/psg-or-bayern-emre-can)\], the 25-year-old will be allowed to leave the Serie A champions by the ex-Chelsea boss, with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain both making enquiries about the player. Those links were communicated by [@TheKopiteOFF](https://twitter.com/TheKopiteOFF/status/1163055698466529286) on Twitter.

Can was [signed by Liverpool in July 2014](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/165669-liverpool-complete-emre-can-transfer) and made [167 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/emre-can/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/119296) for the Reds, scoring [14 goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/emre-can/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/119296) and playing in the [Europa League](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36254631) and [Champions League](https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2018/matches/round=2000885/match=2021711/index.html) finals under Jurgen Klopp.

He produced some occasional moments of brilliance for Liverpool, not least the [scissor kick winner at Watford](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/39689205) in May 2017 as the Reds ultimately [claimed fourth place in the Premier League](https://www.premierleague.com/tables?co=1&se=54&ha=-1).

However, as reported by the [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/emre-can-explains-left-liverpool-14885068), he rejected a new contract at Anfield the following season and said that he wanted to follow in the footsteps of boyhood idol Zinedine Zidane by playing for Juventus.

He did not make much of an impact in his first season in Turin, though, scoring just [four times in 37 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/emre-can/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/119296) and [starting only 22 games between Serie A and Champions League](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/111212/History/Emre-Can).

These Liverpool fans on Twitter had little sympathy for Can after reportedly being told he can leave Juventus:

> Phil and Emre can tour the lesser football venues of Europe knowing that once they with Liverpool WE not only survived but thrived in your absence bringing home 6. When you leave LFC and Jurgen Klopp the only way is .
