# Liverpool: Fans have their say on Paul Glatzel amid Bobby Duncan exit

**Bobby Duncan is set to become a Fiorentina player after Liverpool agreed a £1.9m deal to sell the player permanently.**

[The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-make-44million-transfer-window-19171481) reported that the Reds agreed a £1.9m move for the teenager, plus a 20% sell-on clause, after buying him for just £200,000 from Manchester City last year.

The nature of Duncan’s exit from Liverpool left a sour taste with some supporters, with [@AnfieldRd96](https://twitter.com/AnfieldRd96/status/1168441698659291136) on Twitter name-checking a series of young players at the club in a thinly-veiled swipe at the 18-year-old striker.

> Ki-Jana Hoever, Sepp van den Berg, Yasser Larouci, Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones and Rhian Brewster are real ones.

[Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/11796270/liverpool-reject-bullying-criticism-from-bobby-duncans-agent) reported last week that the teenager was looking to leave the club despite [never playing competitively for the first team](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bobby-duncan/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/401543), but the club [rejected loan offers for the player](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/11796270/liverpool-reject-bullying-criticism-from-bobby-duncans-agent), who [scored 25 times for Liverpool’s youth teams last season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bobby-duncan/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/401543).

Duncan’s agent Saif Rubie later released a public statement in which he accused Liverpool of “[mentally bullying](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/28/liverpool-bobby-duncan-deny-mentally-bullying-agent)” his client, as reported by [The Guardian](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/28/liverpool-bobby-duncan-deny-mentally-bullying-agent).

Along with Duncan, Paul Glatzel was prolific at youth and reserve level for the Reds in 2018/19 with [21 goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/paul-glatzel/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/470604), and in the context of Duncan’s departure from Anfield, these Liverpool fans on Twitter had their say on Glatzel, who was omitted from [@AnfieldRd96’s tweet](https://twitter.com/AnfieldRd96/status/1168441698659291136) about youngsters at the club:

> Also Glatzel who Klopp rates more than Duncan. Also think Grujic will be in the first team next season
