# Liverpool: Fans heap praise on Alisson after winning Yachine Trophy

**Liverpool fans have been [heaping](https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1201596496069746691) praise on Alisson Becker after he picked up the Yachine Trophy at the Ballon d’Or, which represents the best goalkeeper in the world.**

The Brazilian has been an [influential](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/376003-alisson-becker-wins-yachine-trophy-goalkeeper-award) figure since joining the club from Roma for [£67m](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/11441825/liverpool-sign-alisson-from-roma-in-record-deal-for-a-goalkeeper) and played a key role in helping the Reds win the Champions League and accumulating [97](https://www.itv.com/news/2019-04-15/klopp-sets-his-sights-on-liverpool-club-record-97-point-total/) points in the Premier League last season.

The award he [received](https://en.as.com/en/2019/12/02/football/1575288628_506101.html) was named after the legendary Russian shot-stopper Lev Yashin, who was the only goalkeeper to win the France football gong.
