# Liverpool: Fans keen to see Naby Keita feature against Sheffield United

**Many Liverpool fans urged for manager Jurgen Klopp to start midfielder Naby Keita against Sheffield United on Sunday.**

The 26-year-old made his return to the first-team during their [2-0](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56033685) defeat to arch-rivals Everton – their fourth home defeat in succession.

Keita, who earns [£120k-per-week](https://www.spotrac.com/epl/liverpool-fc/payroll/) at Anfield, has consistently struggled to maintain his fitness since his £48m move from RB Leipzig in 2018.

Most recently, the Guinea international suffered an ankle injury just before Christmas and has missed the last [14](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/verletzungen/spieler/302215) games as Liverpool’s title challenge has slowly slipped away.

Because of this, supporters believe that there is “nothing to lose” by starting Keita and could be a huge opportunity for him to lead the Reds’ charge back up the Premier League table.
