# Liverpool: Fans laud Jordan Henderson’s mentality after Sheffield United victory

**Liverpool fans have heaped praise on Jordan Henderson after what he said following his side’s 2-0 victory against Sheffield United on Tuesday.**

The 29-year-old took part for the full 90 minutes as the Reds set a record of being unbeaten for an entire calendar year in the Premier League. Their last defeat was to the reigning champions Manchester City, where they were beaten [2-1](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46690612) at the Etihad Stadium.

Pundit Tony Cascarino previously described Henderson as the “[marmite of football](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/05/07/tony-cascarino-comments-on-jordan-hendersons-liverpool-future/)” as the England international has been at the forefront of [criticism](https://tribuna.com/en/liverpoolfc/news/3514583/) from segments of the Kop faithful since his arrival from Sunderland in [2011](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/13685517).

Despite putting in a solid performance against the newly-promoted Blades, he was [not too pleased](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/liverpool-vs-sheffield-united-result-highlights-undefeated-run-101-points-epl-premier-league-jordan-a9268471.html) with the overall performance. Despite the incredible run that the team is on, he felt that the team can still improve.

He completed [nine](https://www.sofascore.com/liverpool-sheffield-united/psU) long balls out of 13 attempted, successfully conjured up [four](https://www.sofascore.com/liverpool-sheffield-united/psU) key passes and accumulated a pass success rate of [92%](https://www.sofascore.com/liverpool-sheffield-united/psU), according to [SofaScore.](https://www.sofascore.com/liverpool-sheffield-united/psU)

Supporters were delighted with Henderson’s post-match comments and made their feelings clear about them on social media.
