# Liverpool: Fans laugh at Philippe Coutinho after reports confirms he did not impress at Bayern Munich

**Liverpool fans mocked former midfielder Philippe Coutinho after he is due to be sent back to Barcelona following an unsuccessful loan spell at Bayern Munich, according to reports.**

The 27-year-old spent five-and-a-half seasons at Anfield before his [£142m](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42580173) move to the Catalan giants in 2018, having scored [54](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/philippe-coutinho/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/80444) goals and provided [45](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/philippe-coutinho/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/80444) assists in 201 appearances for the Reds. He faced intense scrutiny in both Spain and Germany where he was accused of playing “like a youngster” (according to [Besoccer](https://www.besoccer.com/new/coutinho-didn-t-fool-anyone-he-played-like-a-youngster-617597)) and “not doing enough” (as per the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/philippe-coutinho-facing-criticism-not-20543063)).
