# Liverpool fans likely to be delighted by latest FSG reports

**The Fenway Sports Group may not have always convinced the Liverpool fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern, though recent reports have proved promising.**

Our local Kopites have often been found lamenting life under their American owners over the years but a story surfacing from an interview with Reds star James Milner in the [Daily Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/05/22/liverpool-plan-spend-100m-summer/) has sparked interest.

They [claim](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/05/22/liverpool-plan-spend-100m-summer/) the Merseyside giants are expected to spend a club-record [£100m](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/05/22/liverpool-plan-spend-100m-summer/) this summer, following the Reds’ return to the Champions League next season. Jurgen Klopp is [reportedly](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/05/22/liverpool-plan-spend-100m-summer/) expected to be backed over the course of the summer, with an interesting list of targets mooted in the report.

Southampton star Virgil van Dijk is [believed](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/05/22/liverpool-plan-spend-100m-summer/) to be a £50m target, while Roma forward Mo Salah, Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and RB Leipzig ace Naby Keita all [reportedly](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/05/22/liverpool-plan-spend-100m-summer/) on the radar.
